Our therapists' training is ongoing so we can continue to treat our patients with the newest techniques utilizing the latest technology. Certifications include Maitland Australian Approach to Manual Therapy, Manual Therapy Certification through University of St. Augustine, Certified Hand Therapist, IASTM, Functional Dry Needling, and Kinesiotape. Malcolm “Mike” Duplantis Jr.,
Michael received his BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland in 2000 and become a certified orthopedic manual therapist in 2011 through Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars. Michael brings a unique perspective to his practice colored by his experience prior to entering the physical therapy profession. Michael understands that education must be a priority so he can treat his patients with the best treatment options available. Michael is a Credentialed Clinical Instructor, he has volunteered numerous hours to coaching youth sports. Michael is married with three kids, they all enjoy outdoor activity, hunting, and sports.
Mallory Giglio, PT, DPT graduated from LSU with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Human Movement in 2007 and graduated from University of South Alabama with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2010. She has since been practicing in the outpatient setting and is certified in Functional Dry Needling. She's certified in treating pelvic floor dysfunction and women's health issues.
Suzanne Ulmer graduated from Northeast Louisiana University Allied Health Department with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy and has practiced primarily in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation during her career. She has specialized training and advanced study in upper extremity rehabilitation and obtained her Certification in Hand Therapy in 2003 which requires meeting rigorous standards and ongoing continuing education. She enjoys golfing, photography and LSU sports during her leisure time.
Taylor Terrio, PTA, graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology. She is a recent graduate of the Franciscan Missionaries of Out Lady University with an Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistance. Taylor has a pain science certification, and has been with Action Therapy since August of 2020.
